One of Penn State football’s Class of 2025 commits has been offered by one of college football’s most polarizing head coaches.

KiAndrea Barker, a four-star RB who will be playing his senior season at Florida’s Miami Central High School, announced via X (formerly Twitter) late Saturday night that he’s received an offer from coach Deion Sanders and Colorado.

Barker, listed at 5-foot-11 and 183 pounds, is Penn State’s longest-reigning ‘25 commit. He announced his commitment more than a year ago.

Nittany Sports Now spoke exclusively with Barker upon his announcement.

“They showed me love,” Barker told NSN, “and then they gave me my first big offer when I was in my freshman year and kept a mutual relationship ever since then.”

“And from having the visit there and showing us the love that they showed us, it felt like it was the right thing to do.”

Since Barker committed, he’s received offers from Auburn, Duke, Houston, TCU, USC and Wisconsin in addition to Colorado.

He previously played high school football at Beebe in Arkansas. He played last season at the Woodlands School in the Houston, Texas area.

Barker won’t be the only Penn State commit in Miami Central’s backfield next season.

QB Bekkem Kritza, who played last season in Colorado, will be playing at Miami Central as well.

Additionally, one of Penn State’s Class of 2024 signees, defensive tackle T.A Cunningham, played at Miami Central.

RB greats such as Franco Harris, Curt Warner and Larry Johnson made their marks on Happy Valley.

Today, Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen are one of, if not the top rushing duo in college football.

This lineage was one of the main things that inspired Barker to pick Penn State. His bond with coach James Franklin and his staff also played a big part.
